Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline right here at etrailer. And today, we have the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier that's 60 inches by 22 inches, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. So right off the bat, if you need a lot of cargo space, but you don't wanna have to deal with a lot of weight, this is gonna be a great cargo carrier for that. This is gonna be one of our larger aluminum cargo carriers, so with you having all that space, because it's made of aluminum, it's also lighter and easier to install. But depending on how you install it though, it might be a little tricky, because the Dodge Grand Caravan has a bumper that sticks out over here, so you're gonna have to like reach around the carrier to get into place and make sure that all that is tightened down. So that is something to be mindful of. more

It's going to be the etrailer Folding Cargo Carrier. So as you can see it is going to be able to fit in a smaller space compared to other cargo carriers and that's going to be the main feature of this one here, whether it's just taking up less space in your garage or just having that option of adding a bunch of cargo storage to your van here just because it can fit a lot of different passengers and they probably got a bunch of gear whenever you're going to either sporting events or just a vacation. It's going to work with a two inch hitch receiver like so, slide it in just like that and it will come with an anti-rattle bolt.Not a lot of these cargo carriers come with them, but we included it with the kit. We do want to get it nice and lined up. more

Some of you guys may be thinking this isn't an off-road vehicle, but the reason why I'm putting this on this car in particular is as you can see we have an 11-inch rise in our shank. A lot of the times when you have those flat cargo carriers, even if they only have about a two-inch rise in your shank, you're going to be bottoming out in almost any situation. In my opinion, this is going to be a great addition to your van, that you don't have to worry about it bottoming out and damaging your carrier, or even bending it or breaking your hitch receiver. more

So this is going to be a hitch-mounted cargo carrier that'll fit two inch hitch receivers. It will have a two inch rise, so it's going to help a little bit with that grounding out that you may get on a lower standing vehicle. This is going to be about 60 inches by about 24 inches, and it is going to sit up relatively taller at about five and three quarter inches. It's going to have plenty of different spots to be able to get your straps around to tie down your cargo nice and securely. more

Hi everyone, Adam, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the CURT Cargo Carrier with ramp, on our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. So this is going to be a pretty, pretty good choice for any of those heavier wheeled items that you need to get from point A to point B.Whether it be, let's say a couple mowers or even a powered wheelchair, whatever it is, you're going to be able to load this onto the carrier with this ramp. It is an aluminium design, so it's extremely, extremely light. So all you've got to really do to get this ramp out is just pull this little pin here. It's going to release, and you're going to be able to fold this to the side and then ramp anything up that you possibly would need.This ramp does stick out about 48 inches from our cargo carrier here. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on this 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be taking a look at the MaxxTow 30x50 Wheelchair Carrier with a 48" Long Ramp for 2" Hitches, part number MT70106. We already have our carrier installed onto our vehicle, and this does have a 500-pound carrying capacity, and it has mesh flooring both here as well as the ramp, which is going to make it easy to clean. Also, we have these points on the front, back, and side, and that's going to serve as a tie down point for either your ratchet straps or bungee cords when you're putting your wheelchair, or your lawnmower, whatever it is you're hauling. Once you're ready to either unload or load up your wheelchair, you have to lower the ramp first. To do that, you have these pins right here that are holding the braces up to keep it in this position. To take them out, you just remove the pin first, then our clip here, like so. We're actually going to lift it up to this point here, and secure it up here so it doesn't just fly around, and reinsert our clip. We'll do the same on the other side as well. more

MaxxTow Wheelchair Carrier with Ramp Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be taking a look at the MaxxTow 30 x 50 wheelchair carrier with a 60-inch-long ramp, for two-inch hitches only, part number MT702460. This is what the carrier's going to look like once it's installed on your vehicle. Right now we have it in the position you would have it if you're actually hauling your wheelchair or whatever it is you're carrying in your carrier. This does have a 500-pound carrying capacity. It has this mesh flooring here, as well as the ramp, and that's going to make it easier to clean. We also have tie-down points all around the cargo carrier for your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. We also have reflectors on the end as well. Let's go ahead and show you how it unfolds. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be test fitting the 20x48 Curt cargo carrier for 1.25 in and 2 in hitches, part number C18110. This has a carrying capacity of 300 lbs. We have this nice mesh floor here which is going to make it easier to clean. At the front and around the sides, we have these points here which are going to serve as tie-down points for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. The exhaust is going to be on the passenger side of the vehicle and it does face down away from the cargo carrier, and thanks to its raised shank, which is going to improve clearance issues between the cargo carrier itself and the ground, you're not going to have to worry about heat sensitive material once you're loading that up. With it in this position right now, we do have full access to our rear hatch to get anything we need. However, I am going to go ahead and give you a break over point measurement and that's going to be the point where your hatch would come into contact with whatever it is you're hauling. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan c18152- Video
Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be test fitting the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches, part number C18152. This has a carrying capacity of 500 pounds. It has this nice mesh floor here which makes it very easy to clean. We also have this rail here, all the way around the cargo carrier, and that can serve as tie-down point for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. It does have a raised shank to it, so your clearance will not be an issue, as far as from the cargo carrier to the ground. We do have a tail pipe here on the passenger side, however, it is pointed down, away from the cargo carrier, and thanks to the height of the cargo carrier, you're not going to have to worry about any heat-sensitive materials once you're loading things up. I'm going to go ahead and give you a couple quick measurements now. Starting with the edge of the bumper to our outer edge, we've added about 33" to the rear of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2010 Dodge Caravan, we will be taking a look at the Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier. That's a 23 x 60 inch cargo carrier with 2 inch hitches only. It has a 500 lb weight capacity. As you can see, the cargo carrier is already installed here on the rear of our Dodge Grand Caravan. It is a sizable cargo carrier, like I said, it's the 23 inches here and the 60 inches across the vehicle. Today on our 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, we will be looking at the 23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier. That's for 2 inch hitches only. It has a nice steel mesh flooring design on here which is going to allow dirt and debris to fall through and not build up in the cargo carrier itself and we've got numerous tie-down points so we can secure our gear as we're going down the road. Today, on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're doing a test fit of the Curt 20x60 Cargo Carrier. That part number is C18150. Now, this has a 500 pound weight capacity and is designed to work with 2-inch hitches. While we have this on our vehicle, we're going to start off by taking a few measurements here. Our ground clearance is going to be first, at about 16 inches. Overall to our vehicle we are adding about 26 1/4 inches. Our closest point is going to be able 5 1/2 inches away. Now, on our Grand Caravan, we do have a single passenger side exhaust here. It comes just about straight out, although, it's lower than our carrier. We're sitting about 11 inches there. If you do plan on carrying any heat-sensitive materials, I would do so towards the middle or even towards the driver's side there. Let's check our hatch clearance here. As you can see, we are not going to make any contact at all, with any point of our carrier. We check our break over point, though. We're going to break over pretty early and pretty low. more
